If you are like most people, you have probably been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
And while we are all doing our part to help ‘flatten the curve’ and minimize the potential impact it can have on our health and our society, there are some unfortunate downsides to the measures we have taken.
I know I for one have been sitting a whole lot more lately. Whether I am reading, playing battleship with my boys or watching a bunch of tv, my body isn’t moving anywhere near as much as it used to.
And it is starting to get angry.
Angry because, by design, our body needs movement – its like an essential nutrient. Without it, our muscles and joints stiffen up, our digestion takes a hit, even our mental wellbeing begins to slide because of how integral movement is to how our brain and nervous system work.
Here is a video I have put together to help keep your body moving and limber while we practice social distancing.
Try inserting this into your daily routine a couple of times to help stave off ‘rust’ buildup in your joints and keep your body (and brain) happy.
Enjoy!

P.S. Get your family and friends moving too! They could benefit just as much as you!
